Over the years, Jodie has studied with a diversity of teachers that have informed and inspired her teaching and practice. She continues her studies in yoga, Ayurveda and psychology with her teachers in the Institute's 3 Wisdom Traditions wellness coaching program. Fascinated by the self-healing practices of Ayurveda, yoga's sister science, Jodie studied with teachers Kathryn Templeton and Sarah Gugliemi from the Himalayan Institute to complete her training as a certified Ayurveda Yoga Specialist. She completed Cyndi's OM Yoga 500 hour advanced teacher training program in 2016. In 2014, Jodie met her beloved teacher Cyndi Lee, where she was immersed in the integration of yoga and Buddhism. After moving to the United States in 2011, Jodie continued to deepen her studies and completed a 200 hour Ashtanga yoga teacher training program with It's Yoga International in Nicaragua.

She studied courses in yogic lifestyle and philosophy, and in 2006 undertook the ashram's yoga teacher training program. Observing the profound effects on her wellbeing, and inspired by her teachers' gentle, uplifting classes, Jodie became devoted to the practice of yoga and its powerful tools for compassion, healing, and fostering sustainable personal and spiritual growth. Her personal journey with yoga picked up in the early 2000s when she found her first yoga home at a Brisbane city ashram while completing her Bachelor of Communications degree. Growing up in a small beach town in Australia, Jodie's initial encounter with yoga was through books. Her heart-centered desire is to serve others by sharing the tools of yoga and Ayurveda to allow for a life with more joy, ease, and purpose.
